Kung Fu is the physical, mental and spiritual practice of honing skills through time and effort. Most commonly, it is manifested through self-defense maneuvers and bodily prowess. It's hard to say how far back Kung Fu originated, but it's one of the most colorful and esoteric physical arts known to man. Many of the artistic elements pay tribute to animals in the form of Kung Fu "animal styles"—methods of kung fu practice that emulate the movements and behaviors of animals.

In the world of the Jadecats, Kung Fu is a powerful weapon in the fight for survival. There is a clear distinction in the way different styles fight and it's important for the animation of the Jadecats to portray that.
